Tagged…Again
August 4, 2005I’ve been tagged once again by the Unseen Blogger. If any one can find him, please point him out. He’s very ellusive.
10 years ago: I was prepping to start my second year in grad school. First year was hell. 16 hour days of breaking bad habits (and I had a lot of them.)
5 years ago: I was in the second year of my job as Artistic Director for a small theatre company. I was terribly unhappy, stressed, working in the computer web design industry and loathing it. I did have good friends and good gaming and best of all, my wife and I married! Woohoo!!!!!
1 year ago: I was making the leap into taking prereqs for going BACK to grad school in 2005. I was training fanatically for my first Ironman race (didn’t happen, injury.) I wasn’t 40 yet. My temp job was beginning to grate but luckily I’d finally arrived (after two years of soul searching) at my change in careers.
Yesterday: I did a short bike ride in the morning, a long swim in the afternoon and between bouts I worked on the yard of our new house (we have a big friggin yard.) I was trying to decide if I really have time for any TV anymore and realizing that my TV was getting whittled down to 2 hours a week.
Tomorrow: I will go for another lengthy bike ride in the morning and swim a couple of miles in the evening. I like Friday’s and am looking forward to 1 of my 2 hours of the aforementioned TV. I’ll also get a bit more time to work more in the yard and to catch up on my reading – I’m hip dip in Dan Simmon’s Olympos, sequel to Illium.
5 snacks I enjoy: Fresh fruit (especially melon), Bavarian Pretzels, Black licorice, H20, and my big huge weakness: Peanut Butter.
5 bands/artists that I know the lyrics to most of their songs: Queensryche (my all time favoritest band EVAR!), Metallica, Judas Priest, Avril Lavigne (yes, I know but I think she’s freakin awesome) and Sarah Mclachlan (I’ve been listening to her since 1992.)
5 things I’d do with $100M: Travel, do a month long dog sled through the Yukon, invest, build the dream home and most of all provide for my parents and my in-laws so they can be safe, secure and do whatever they want.
5 locations I’d like to run away to: Scotland, Montana, the Grand Canyon, New Zealand, Mars. (Bascially anywhere with very few people.)
5 bad habits I have: Laziness, Procrastination, Know-it-all-ism, Short fuse, and binging.
5 things I like doing: Riding my bike, swimming, reading, gaming (I miss it sooo much WAHHHHH!) and sleeping.
5 things I will never wear: Speedos (these should be outlawed, I don’t care HOW in-shape you are), low-rider jeans (guys are starting to wear them now and I gotta tell you, um, NO!) a mullet, a shit-eating-grin (I prefer the Zen Death Stare) and, last but not least, anything with the name Gucci in it.
5 TV shows I like: This is the hardest of all questions to answer because I don’t like much TV. The new Battlestar Galactica. Dead Like Me. Firefly. Teen Titans and, um, crap, um, I guess Stargate SG-1 (my wife’s favorite show so I’ll sit with her.)
5 movies I like: The Seven Samurai, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Gladiator, Unforgiven.
5 people I’d like to meet: Ian McKellan, Tim deBoom, the Dark Lady, the apostle Paul, and Hector son of Priam.
5 biggest joys at the moment: Christ my saviour, my wife, 60 miles, the open road and my bike.
5 favorite toys: My bike, my running shoes, my wife :), my gaming books (WAHHHHH!) and my computer.
I’d tag somebody with this but pretty much the only person who reads it is Mindcrime and he’s such a snarky git about stuff like this, he’ll whine all day and night about it.
