Filming
Posted on September 23, 2007 | Filed Under Celluloid
Been a very intense weekend. Two days of 12 hour filming for my first 20 minute short film in over 15 years.
We also film next weekend and then it’s hitting the editing booth hard and heavy.
The first pic is a still of the very first moment of the very first shot of the shoot! The second is a shot of the cast in action. I know, fairly unexciting stills but I’m still figuring out how to use Final Cut and it’s a beast. More when I can get better captures.

Another Side to the “Dilemma”
This is interesting on so many levels I can’t cover it all. But the thought that these 6 who committed a crime (I believe 6 people beating 1 person is a crime, where as hanging up a noose is definitely stupid and ignorant, it’s not actually a crime – and please read that sentence so you can see that there is no color in that statement – blind justice) are being toted as victims is so ludicrous it is hard to actually debate this topic with any semblance of respect.

Mainstream Media…funny, that
Posted on September 20, 2007 | Filed Under Depth Charges
It’s rather interesting, and telling, how the mainstream media of our society is so into glorifying and only reporting the tragedies that happen in Iraq. No where do you really see the positive change resulting from our assistance in this devestated country. Not that it isn’t there. It’s there all over the place but you’d never know it. Why? Because maybe then they’d actually have to admit that we’re helping, we’re doing something good. Yeah, there are numerous arguements about this whole issue, bled to death in fact, but I do wish that the reporting in this country was a little more balanced. But then again, liberals were never really interested in diversity, except as a concept they like to throw around, unless it furthered their own view.
Try this on for size: Positive Change There’s a part two as well.
