Alas, it appears this next post is to report another death of an icon: Charlton Heston. Two days ago this great icon of American cinema passed on into the undiscovered country. Say what you want about him, but you cannot deny that Heston put an indelible stamp on the face of film in this country. I’d like to honor here by offering the text of his address at a Harvard Law School forum in February of 1999. I think if rings louder now and truer.
