Read the previous post as well and you’ll know my life is extraordinarily busy. Add to that the theatre production I took for monetary reasons and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.
That disaster has spelled poor performance in my classes. Something I am perturbed by and intend to devout all my energy to figuring out how to rectify.
To this end I’m going to greatly need to cut my internet/computer time. I realize that sounds trivial but it is one of the few time-related things at this moment that I have control over. I can’t control the amount of time I spend in class or in rehearsals but I can control the three hours of the day outside of these.
I’ll check email once a week on Saturday mornings. I’ll be on line for about two hours at most on Saturday mornings. If you need to get a hold of me otherwise, best bet is to call.
I’ve decided that all spare time I have must be devoted to studying. At least until I figure out the best way for me to study. With 14 years between any sort of academic work it’s difficult figuring out the best way for me to get the information in my head and to retain it, therefore I have to err on the side of too much rather then too little. Once I discover how I retain info the best (and, please, offer your best studying tips – I’ll try anything once) my time may open up a little more.
So far the biggest gripe I have with this is that my training schedule has been reduced to about zero. My first priority after getting my best study habits is to get training back into my regime and computer time/writing time is last.
Take care and talk to you all sometime over the next three months.
