As many of you may know, it’s been recently reported that Pat Tillman was killed in action in Afghanistan. If you don’t know Pat’s story, in a nutshell, he was awarded a 3.8 million dollar contract several years ago when he was playing football for the Arizona Cardinals. He turned it down to join his brother in the U.S. Army Rangers for 18k a year.

Words cannot express the need for more men and women like Pat Tillman in this country and in the world. In an age where the dollar is the Almighty and status is an SUV rather than the strength of your character, where the number one killer of pregnant women is murder and role-models for our children are the choice between athletes who whine or politicians who lie, men and women like Pat Tillman are the true mark of what it means to be heroes. My friend Cereal Kruller, asked for his own special song because he likes it when I hurt his feelings. Being the masochist that he is I told him ‘no.’

Mindcrime has started his own blog. First he bitches to me about hating Macs. (And now he’s a huge Mac fanatic, he even tells me how to do things on my machine.)
